Saamis Tepee closed for annual inspection

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Saamis Tepee is receiving its annual inspection on Tuesday, and will be closed to the public.

The work got underway at 6 a.m, and is expected to be finished by 2 p.m. today, weather permitting.

In addition to inspecting the structure, crews will also be completing lamp replacement on the structure.

The area directly under and around the tepee will be closed to allow crews to work, however the parking lot at the site and the nearby trails remain open.

The Visitor Information Centre near the tepee, along with the picnic area, the playground and the sanitary dumping station are also open.
