Tim joined the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group in the summer of 2012. His entire career has been spent in Radio and Television marketing. He started in Saskatoon in the early 80’s, had a stop in Red Deer and spent close to 20 years in Edmonton with both CTV and Global. In 1996 Tim earned his designation as a Certified Advertising Agency Practitioner ( CAAP). After leaving Global in 2007, he accepted a position as General Manager of Newcap’s North Eastern Alberta operations and from there moved to Fort McMurray, also with Newcap. Although most of his work career was spent in Edmonton, he lived in the much smaller Sherwood Park. Tim loves the “smaller” city lifestyle and has felt right at home since moving to the Hat.

In the fall of 2014 an opportunity presented itself in the marketing department at Jim Pattison Broadcast Group here in Medicine Hat. It wasn’t the fresh challenge so much, as the opportunity to meet and work with the vibrant business community that is Medicine Hat.
John believes strongly that marketing your product is an on-going program. And he hopes the relationship he builds with you, as you Marketing Consultant, will be the same.
Over the years I‘ve had the privilege to work with a variety of different types of organizations; small, medium, and large. Not one was ever the same, everyone had different clients, goals, budgets, and interests in mind. It is for that reason, I grew to understand there is never a “one size fits all” approach in business.
I enjoy meeting with clients to learn more about their organization and strategies. I want to know about their team, clients, goals, optimal outcome, and measures of success. This offers me the ability to be an extension of my client’s team and work together to develop a road map to leverage the platforms within Jim Pattison Broadcast Group to accomplish their goals.
I look forward to being a part of your team – let’s meet soon!

I started my broadcasting career way back in the mid-eighties after graduating from the Radio & Television Arts program at N.A.I.T in Edmonton. With over 20 year’s experience in the broadcast industry-most being radio, I continue to enjoy the exciting field of broadcasting. I have left the industry a couple of times but keep getting lured back as the best times in my life have been in radio. I have worked all over Western Canada and have enjoyed advancing my career through the years. From writing commercials, producing, part-time announcing and mostly selling radio advertising, I have a full knowledge of the industry.
In my spare time I serve my community by being on the board of directors for Medicine Hat Crimestoppers as well as the Medicine Hat BMX Association.
Crazy fact: My last name is Golden. I was born in Golden, BC. Went to grade school in Golden until graduation. I always say, ‘They wouldn’t make me the mayor so I left!’
Proud to be a part of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group as a Certified Radio Marketing Gold Representative.
