MEDICINE HAT, AB -- Three people have been arrested after an investigation into people responsible for recent stolen vehicles in Medicine Hat.

On Thursday July 4, police located Travis Seitz, 20, of Medicine Hat on the 1200 block of South Railway St SE, for outstanding warrants.

During the evening of the same day, police in conjunction with Redcliff RCMP located Raymond Needham, 24, and Devon Koehle, 20, for outstanding warrants.

The two people were arrested at a residence on the 400 block of 2 St. SE Redcliff.

Police describe the three people as prolific offenders for local vehicle and property thefts.

An estimated $59,000 worth of property was recovered, including two stolen Ford trucks and a cargo trailer.

A total of 26 charges were laid.

Staff Sgt. Jason Graham says that the investigation is still pending and that there could potentially be more charges and more property seized in the coming days.

Graham also says a major part of the investigation was tips police received from their new mobile app launched last month.

"We do want to thank the public for their assistance with their tips that do come in to our building. It does help." He continued. "With the recent implementation of our mobile app, it has proven to be beneficial in these circumstances. We’re seeing early returns on this so it’s great."
