MEDICINE HAT, AB — The British Consulate-General made her first ever visit to Medicine Hat on Thursday.
Caroline Saunders works out of Calgary and represents the United Kingdom in the prairie provinces.
She, along with MLA Bob Wanner, toured though the city, and made a special stop at Medalta this afternoon.
Saunders is here to help strengthen Canada’s relationship with the UK and said it’s both an important and historic one.
“As a modern relationship, we have a very, very important trading and investment relationship,” she said. “Canada’s the second largest investor in the UK. The UK is the fourth largest investor in Canada. And those are really, really important links for the economy.”
